About the Project

A multidisciplinary Project, BasketRoll 2022, is aiming at raising awareness of the position of young people with disabilities in today’s society. The project was designed to last for 6 months with the major 3-day event that took place in November 2022 in Vienna.

Partner organizations from Austria, Turkey, and Sweden organized an attractive non-competitive wheelchair basketball tournament followed by a “wheelchair test ride” for able-bodied participants, and workshops on the social and professional life of young people with disabilities. Among many spectators, the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Ozan Ceyhun, attended the event and gave full support to the project.

The last day of the event was reserved for round table discussions with local, national, and European stakeholders to share findings and conclusions of previous talks.
